So, I decided to clean the house on Thursday and I ended up in the middle of a 3 day project of painting the hallway/foyer. This was no small feat as this is the largest surface area to paint in our house. My husband told me not to clean again! LOL! I finally get to do something a little more for me and made this valentine card without pink/red as I am not a fan of pink. The DP is from K & Company. The ivy border is from an EK Success border punch. The lace paper border is a MS double punch. The roses were made with a SVG file from Penny Duncan Creations and were colored with Glimmer Mist meadow green and arctic blue. The frame is also an SVG file from Penny Duncan. All layers were distressed with Jim Holtz Distress ink, brushed corduroy.

Congratulations!
So, I needed a congratulations card for a work friend. I certainly do not make many of these. I went out to google and found a wonderful design at TOMNI design which I used for inspiration. The white layer is embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The congratulations stamp is Inkadinkado. I do not normally show the inside of my cards even though I do finish them, but I did decide to show this one because it is just a classy card.

Winter Wishes
It's a little frosty around here! Yesterday was so nice at a balmy 32 degrees! More weather on the way along with colder temperatures. It's too cold to make snowmen outside. I used a snowman digi from Bugaboo (I cut the pocket off) which was colored with PSE. Added some stickles to the hat and glossy accents to the carrot nose. I cut out an extra set of hands for each snowman to add dimension (hard to see this in the picture). Added some ribbon that I had laying around; not sure if I like it or not (oh well!). Add some snowflakes and bling for a little extra dimension.

Love is in the Air!
Love is in the Air! Decided to mix things up and not use a digi today. I had an SVG file for the LOVE cut-out (I apologize, I cannot find the owner of this file). I embossed the top of this using a damask stamp. I embossed with Stamp 'n' Stuff satin pearl. The paper roses are from Penny Duncan Creations which were sprayed with gold and cranberry zing glimmer mists. No love card is complete w/o some pearls!
Update: the Love SVG is from Paper Yoga. She has some wonderful designs on her website!

Isn't she yummy?
Dottie is coming out in her yellow polka-dotted bikini! She is braver that I will ever be. I used some luscious rich chocolate browns to go with the yummy chocolate cake! Tried something new (again) with making the paper folded flower. These make really big flowers! Used an EK border punch again. The Dottie digi is new for me (Thank you Jodie for the wonderful sale this week!) and she is colored with copic markers. Added some rhinestones for a little bling and used some Paper Studio stickers that I had on hand.

The celebrate sticker is from paper studio. Added some embellishments that I had laying around. The flowers and the pom-pom's are raised on the digi for some 3D effect.

This cutie pie is, of course, another Bugaboo image that I have used. These are so fun to color (done with copics). Used a flourish which was cut on my Cricut using the SCAL program. Added some ribbon roses along with fern punches (MS punch). I twilled some shimmery white paper to add vine next to the roses. Added some embellishments with my iRock tool!

So, I needed to make a birthday card for a 2 year old. I wanted fun, vibrant colors for this girly girl. I used a Bugaboo digi colored with Copics. I used Stickles star dust to add a little shimmer and proceeded with glossy accents on top of that to add some depth. I did elevate the flame and the star off the hat which you can see better in the picture below. The paper is DCWV. I used a couple EK border punches along with a Doodlebug embellishment on the flower.

So, the snow has stopped but the temperatures are now dropping!!! Aargghh. Stayed inside and made a couple cards. This one was fun to make an all white card except the focal point which I used a vibrant pink prima flower. The fern leaves were made with a MS punch. The butterflies are from an EK border punch. Used some crystal stickles on the fern leaves and the butterflies to add a little shimmer.

Scrapbooking!
It is still snowing. Shoveled the driveway for the third time in the past 24 hours. I thought I deserved a break after that! Crop Stop has a wonderful sketch and I had the perfect picture to use for the sketch. I used Debbie Mum paper which is always fun to use for a kids page.

One More!
Can you tell we are getting a lot of snow? This one was made for a challenge as well. I loved the birdhouse image used for the challenge on I Did it Creations, so I requested this image to fulfill the challenge. I used lots of different techniques on this. The birdhouse was colored with watercolor pencils. The snow was accented with platinum liquid pearls and waterfall stickles. The pine tree branches were completed with green flock. Used purple mulberry papery behind the image. Used an inkadinkado flourish stamp and accented it with flat pearls. The mulberry paper flower is from recollections. I do not have any one technique that I like, so I used a bunch! Enjoy!

Another Monday Creation
So I was a little busy yesterday making cards as it snowed (and snowed) here! I used purple core'dinations paper with a cuttlebug embossing folder. The lace border is from EK. I used a spellbinders nestabilities to make the "flower" behind the Bugaboo image. You will see that I dabbed yellow in the center and purple on the edge to create a flower effect which sets the image out even more. Added a little bling for just a touch of sparkle.

Prairie Fairy DT call entry
Prairie Fairy Designs is having a DT call! This bunny image is to be used for the entry. Isn't he cute? He was colored with copic markers. Used spellbinders nesties to cut the image out. I used a heart digi from Torico to add a little flare. Used my MS double border lace to add the "lace". It is hard to see but the card has been sprayed with tattered rose and iridescent gold glimmer mists to add a little shimmer. The card is monochromotic in color except the bunny so he is the center of your focus.
If you are interested in the Prairie Fairy Designs DT call, go to their blog and check it out!
